Items of Worship Explained
Below you will find the items included in the worship services held at the Valley Parkway congregation.
We encourage visitors to participate with us in worship. However, if you see anything that you are unprepared for or don’t feel ready to participate in, there is no pressure to partake or join in.
Prayer
We go to God in prayer multiple times throughout worship services so that we can praise God, thank Him, and make requests of Him.
Congregational Singing
Services include a cappella singing from the whole congregation following the Bible’s teaching to sing and make melody in our hearts to the Lord (Ephesians 5).
The Lord's Supper
Jesus establishes the Lord’s Supper in Matthew 26, and Paul gives additional guidance in 1 Corinthians 11. We take part in the Lord’s Supper every Sunday morning.
Contribution
In accordance with 1 Corinthians 16, we contribute our money on Sunday mornings to support the work of the Church.
Teaching
Every service includes teaching from the Bible; as 2 Timothy 3 tell us, this teaching is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

The church building has a dedicated parking lot with plenty of space for everyone. Additionally, there are handicap spaces and a drop-off area for anyone with accessibility needs.
Our congregation does not have youth groups or separate assemblies of any kind. We all meet together in one assembly to glorify God. However, we have a strong population of kids and young adults who attend Valley Parkway and love to spend time with each other in and outside of services. Our members, in general, will periodically find time to do fun activities with each other, which is an important part of our group’s culture.
Separate from services, our members frequently meet for Bible studies conducted by our local Evangelist or one of our other church leaders. We also offer multiple Bible study series on our website. Check out all of the Bible studies available and get started on your next study today.
We love hosting parents with babies or young kids for services because it shows that the future is bright for the church! There are changing stations in the men's and women’s restrooms.
