Series Details
God, the Creator and Giver of life, has given us the Bible. In this book, God explains the greatest problem of mankind: sin and spiritual death. The Bible also reveals the solution: the redemption from sin and spiritual death through Jesus Christ.
Some of these words like “redemption,” “sin,” “the Bible,” and even “God” may not be personally meaningful to you. Perhaps this is the first time you are hearing about the God of the Bible. Or perhaps you have experience in the Christian way of life and seek to learn more about Him again. It is obvious that you are very religious or spiritually minded. This is evident from your desire to learn about God and the Bible. This series of lessons is designed to build your faith around the good news of Jesus and what He has accomplished for all mankind.
The first lesson explores the beginning of everything which can be found in the book of Genesis. Genesis explains the beginnings of our universe, humanity, and the great history of our common heritage. While it may be difficult to completely understand, we can know that God has always been and that He created life out of nothing.
Lesson two studies when corruption enters the world in the Garden of Eden. However, it was satan and his followers who were the first to bring about corruption into existence which ultimately lead to the fall of man later on.
After being expelled from the garden of Eden, Adam and Eve began their new life in a harder and crueler world. Soon, two sons were born (Cain and Abel) and the family grew. Adam and his family tried to maintain a connection with God through the sacrifice of animals. The joy of their simple life with children would soon be spoiled by sin.
In lesson four we learn about an age of patriarchs beginning with Abraham. During this time, the Word of God was not yet written, so people required either direct revelation from heaven or a patriarch to guide them. People generally had only a narrow way to understand God and mankind’s purpose.
This lesson recounts the Israelites' enslavement in Egypt and their subsequent redemption through Moses. It emphasizes God's power to deliver His people and the establishment of the Passover as a symbol of salvation.
This lesson traces the history of Israel from their entrance into the Promised Land to the establishment of the kingdom, and ultimately, their downfall. It explores themes of obedience, idolatry, and the consequences of turning away from God.
This lesson provides an overview of Jesus' life, from His birth to His ministry, and highlights His role as the fulfillment of Old Testament prophecy. It emphasizes His teachings, miracles, and the example He set for His followers.
This lesson covers the final night of Jesus' life, including the Last Supper, His betrayal, and His crucifixion. It explores the significance of these events and how they fulfilled God’s plan for the redemption of mankind.
This lesson focuses on Jesus' sacrificial death and His victory over death through His resurrection. It highlights the importance of the resurrection in Christian faith, showing that it validates Jesus’ divine authority and promises eternal life.
This lesson teaches that salvation is available to all through Jesus Christ. It outlines the steps to salvation, including hearing the gospel, believing in Jesus, repenting of sins, confessing faith, and being baptized.
This lesson discusses the Christian's life after salvation, emphasizing the need to remain faithful until Jesus’ return. It highlights the role of the church and encourages believers to live in anticipation of Christ’s second coming.
This lesson examines the eternal reward awaiting believers, contrasting Heaven and Hell. It encourages Christians to remain faithful, looking forward to the ultimate reward of being with God forever in Heaven.
